mRNA（messenger RNA, messenger Ribonucleic acid） Also called transmissible RNA (ribonucleic acid). It is a single-stranded RNA that is transcribed from DNA in the process of protein synthesis in cells. The genetic information contained in DNA is read by ribosomes in the cell and translated into protein. After a certain period of time, the RNA is degraded by the action of RNA degrading enzymes.
