Staphylococcus epidermidis is a commensal bacterium found on human skin surfaces and in nasal cavities. It lacks the variety of toxins found in Staphylococcus aureus, but it can still cause infections particularly in individuals with implants and catheters.
Povidone-iodine is an antiseptic used for skin disinfection. It is effective against Gram-positive bacteria, Gram-negative bacteria, tubercle bacillus, as well as fungi and some viruses. Additionally, it can be used continuously and is believed to be effective against drug-resistant bacteria.
Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a kind of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria that demonstrate multidrug resistance to a variety of medications, including methicillin and other penicillin derivatives. It serves as the causative agent of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infection (MRSA).
A liquid medium is a solution in which nutrients necessary for the growth of microorganisms or biological tissues are dissolved in water.
Gas gangrene is a fatal infection caused by anaerobic bacteria such as Clostridium perfringens, which does not require oxygen for growth. These bacteria invade a wound and cause tissue necrosis. It is characterized by the production of gases such as methane and carbon dioxide, which spread the infection, rapidly causing widespread muscle necrosis and systemic poisoning symptoms such as circulatory failure, fever, and impaired consciousness.
In 2001, our company pioneered the world’s first patented ingredient, Ozonized Glycerin, and has been exploring its potential ever since. After obtaining patents in 2004, over 100 papers have been published in academic journals and presented at conferences. Our research was recently featured on the “Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology” cover in 2022. Looking ahead, we’re committed to continuing our research and development as a trailblazing company in Ozonized Glycerin, striving to innovate superior manufacturing methods and applications.
Currently, we’ve secured four patents and numerous patent applications pending for further inventions and improvements in Japan and overseas. Our focus remains on strengthening the protection of our rights through patent registration.
