The word is derived from ὅμοιοστάσις (means ‘identical state’) in Greek. It’s physiological functions that always keep in stable condition, regardless of environmental changes inside an organism and outside, consequently quite essential for living things. Homeostasis works as an overall organism function such as controlling vital warmth and blood pressure, eliminating pathogen and viruses, repairing injury and so on.
